 Starburst Pleated Shift
Starburst Pleated Shift
We love the simplicity and wear-again practicality of shifts; this silk-linen one has those qualities, but is finished with unexpected pleating at the side that pulls the eye to the sash-nipped waist and lends just a bit of movement to the straight skirt below. Back zip. Silk, linen; acetate lining. Dry clean. Imported. A Quillaree original, made exclusively for BHLDN Falls 21" from natural waist Also available in black, wheat and abstract floral print

Beautiful dress!
Purchased it as a bridesmaid dress and love it! Was slightly concerned about sizing as I'm 36-29-42 which is between sizes 6 for bust, 8 for waist and 12 for hips and I didn't want to spend extra money paying for lots of alterations. I read previous comments that the lining fit quite tight but the actual dress fit looser, so I ordered a size 8 which fits measurements 37-29-39. Just as the comment mentioned, the dress lining around my hips was quite tight but the actual outer dress was an absolutely perfect fit! The only minor alteration I will have to do is just take apart the back seam of the lining from my hips down and sew in an extra inch of fabric to make it comfortably for me which is a quick 10 minute fix (which nobody but me will ever see!). I am just so happy about the fit with the outer dress - no costly alterations. I'm 5'7" and the hem came to just above my knees, just like the photo. The color is definetely a softer purple than in the photo, but is still very beautiful! I felt like a movie star wearing it - its extremely figure-flattering - well worth the $200 and I will absolutely wear it again and again!! :)
